My client in the construction industry, based in Stockton-on-Tees, is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their accounts team, working directly with the Finance Manager. In this varied role, you will play a pivotal part in managing the weekly payroll, overseeing the sales ledger, and providing general financial support. Full support will be provided to help you develop in this role, making it an excellent opportunity for someone in the early stages of their finance career looking to enhance their finance skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the sales ledger, raise invoices, and ensure timely credit control
Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and prepare weekly BACS runs
Process payments, receipts, and perform bank reconciliations
Handle weekly payroll, HMRC submissions, and employee expenses
Assist the team with administrative and ad hoc duties as needed

A minimum of 2 years of finance experience

Salary: £25,000 - £26,000
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday, with a 4:30 pm finish on Fridays)
