We are working with a growing manufacturing business in Darlington seeking a Finance & Office Manager to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations and office administration. This role is perfect for someone organised, meticulous, and confident, supporting both finance and office processes in a fast-paced, expanding business.
Responsibilities:
Process day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting
Monitor financial data for discrepancies
Manage payroll administration and liaise with accountants
Support general office coordination
Collect and organise financial information to produce reports for senior management
Follow up on payments and maintain communication with suppliers and clients
Candidate Requirements:
Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
Comfortable using Xero; experience with Sage or similar systems is a plus
Highly organised, meticulous, and proactive, able to spot problems and ask the right questions
Strong communicator with the ability to liaise with accountants and suppliers
Qualified AAT or QBE, or equivalent experience
Flexible approach to hours – part-time 25–30 hours per week (spread across Mon–Fri or 3 full days if preferred)
Package & Benefits:
Salary £30,000–£40,000 FTE depending on experience
