We’re looking for an experienced Estimator to join a busy and growing business in Richmond, North Yorkshire. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys analysing projects, preparing accurate estimates, and ensuring contracts are profitable.
You will be responsible for compiling estimates for structural steelwork and other sub-contract works, working out project costs, and creating budgets.
Key responsibilities include:
Assessing material, labour, and equipment requirements.
Analysing quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
Entering data into estimating software accurately.
Coordinating with technical teams across the business.
Liaising with clients, consultants, and other third parties.
Organising tender enquiries and administrating tender documents.
Collecting and distributing feedback efficiently.
Attending meetings with potential clients across the UK when required.
What We’re Looking For:
Several years’ experience in a similar construction estimating role.
Strong maths and IT skills, with excellent problem-solving ability.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritise work, manage tight deadlines, and work independently.
