Our client, an award-winning machining company in Teesside is looking to add an Estimator to their team in Teesside
This is a great opportunity for candidates with manual and CNC machining & programming experience to progress their career within a reputable firm.
The duties of the role will consist of:
Assist in the development of relationships with existing and potential new customers and actively generate and price tenders for machining work.
Liaise with customers and the planning/production team to ensure that a quality service is delivered within the planned timeframe.
Generate tenders by the interpretation of engineering drawings to price materials, estimate labour times, progress tenders and create delivery schedules.
Follow up submitted bids, and negotiate where necessary to win work within profitability margins.
Pre-arrange and attend meetings with customers internally and externally.
Negotiate costs for any additional work required by the customer once the job has commenced.
Research relevant markets and identify engineering opportunities to target.
The ideal candidate will hold the following skills:
HNC in Manufacturing Engineering/CNC Machining
Strong understanding of machine run times
3+ Years experience in a CNC machining environment
Strong commercial acumen
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
