An established and growing accountancy practice is looking to recruit a Corporate Tax Senior to join its expanding tax team in Newcastle. The Role
Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring compliance work is completed accurately and on time.
Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns for a range of businesses.
Build strong relationships with clients, providing day-to-day support and responding to tax-related queries.
Assist with tax planning assignments and identify opportunities to deliver additional advisory services.
Support clients with research and development (R&D) tax relief claims and other specialist tax projects where appropriate.
Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients and assist in resolving tax-related matters.
Assist with other corporate tax compliance requirements and statutory filings.
Work closely with Managers and Partners on more complex tax assignments.
Support and mentor junior members of the team, sharing technical knowledge and assisting with their development.
Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensure clients receive accurate and commercially focused advice.
About You
ATT qualified as a minimum, with CTA studies or qualification advantageous.
At least two years' experience working within corporate tax in an accountancy practice.
Strong knowledge of UK corporation tax compliance.
Exposure to corporate tax advisory work or an interest in developing advisory skills.
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build long-term client relationships.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
High attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Experience using specialist tax software would be advantageous but is not essential.
A full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
