An ambitious and growing accountancy practice is looking to recruit an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join its expanding tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate tax professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with client advisory work while leading and developing a talented team.
Working with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger corporate clients, you'll play a key role in delivering both compliance and advisory services, helping clients navigate complex tax matters while identifying opportunities to add value.
The Role
Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard.
Review complex corporation tax computations and returns prepared by junior members of the team.
Provide tax planning and advisory services across a range of corporate tax matters.
Act as a trusted adviser, building strong client relationships and providing commercially focused advice.
Support clients with tax-efficient planning, legislative changes and business transactions.
Manage workflow, budgets and billing across your client portfolio.
Mentor, coach and develop junior tax professionals, providing technical guidance and regular feedback.
Deliver internal technical training and contribute to the ongoing development of the wider tax team.
Work closely with colleagues across accounts, audit and advisory teams to deliver a joined-up service to clients.
Contribute to business development activities by identifying opportunities within existing client relationships and supporting new client acquisition.
About You
CTA qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
Strong experience in corporate tax gained within an accountancy practice.
Excellent technical knowledge of UK corporation tax compliance and advisory work.
Previous experience reviewing work and managing a client portfolio.
Strong leadership skills with experience supporting and developing junior team members.
Excellent communication skills and confidence when dealing directly with clients.
Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical, value-added advice.
Well organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
Experience with specialist tax software would be advantageous but is not essential.
A full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
