We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Support Team Leader to join a well-established organisation based in Richmond, North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual to lead a busy business support function and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
The successful candidate will be confident in managing people, improving processes, and ensuring high standards of service delivery. You will act as a key point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders, whilst overseeing the coordination of administrative processes and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and support a small team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment
Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the business support function, ensuring smooth and effective service delivery
Act as the main point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflows
Ensure accurate and timely processing of documentation, correspondence, and reporting
Manage diaries, scheduling, and coordination of activities and meetings
Monitor team performance, workloads, and quality standards, providing coaching and support as required
Maintain and improve office systems, records, and databases
Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management
Support with recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members
Assist with investigations into queries or complaints, preparing responses and identifying improvements
Contribute to business improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
Key Skills & Competencies
Proven experience in a team leader or supervisory role within an office or business support environment
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships at all levels
Confident with Microsoft Office and experienced in using business systems or databases
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in business process improvement and change management would be an advantage
Desirable: a qualification in business administration, management, or a related field

Competitive salary of £30,000 to £35,000
