An established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Business Services Director to join its Skipton office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior practice professional to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, lead a high-performing team and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
The Role
Reporting to the Partners, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing the delivery of business services and supporting the development of both the team and the firm's client base.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a portfolio of owner-managed business clients
Leading client meetings and acting as the main point of contact
Reviewing and signing off accounts and tax work where appropriate
Managing fees and ensuring commercial objectives are achieved
Leading, mentoring and developing members of the Business Services team
Monitoring team performance and supporting recruitment activities
Identifying opportunities for business development and cross-selling services
Building and maintaining a strong professional network
About You
The successful candidate will have:
ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualification
Significant experience within an accountancy practice at a senior level
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and business taxation
Experience managing client portfolios and leading teams
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A commercial mindset with a proven ability to identify growth opportunities
A full UK driving licence
