We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Clerk to join a team based near Richmond.
The role and responsibilities:
To manage a portfolio of clients’ accounts
To input into sales and purchase ledgers
Producing VAT returns
To assist the Accounts Team with monthly management reporting and debtors’ reports
Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
Any other reasonable duties as required within the team
The skills they are looking for:
Have a relevant accounting qualification or equivalent in experience
At least 3 years’ experience in an accountancy/book-keeping role
Experience of IT systems - Sage, Xero
Good level of numeracy and analytical skills
Ability to prioritise busy workload
Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines
Ability to act on own initiative whilst also working within Company processes and procedures
Good organisational skills
Pays attention to detail
Interpersonal skills - ability to communicate with people at all levels
Possesses tact, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
Experience within a professional services organisation preferred, but not essential
