About the Role

A well-established and expanding accountancy and audit firm is looking to appoint an Audit Senior to join its Doncaster-based team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client portfolio while taking ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing audit engagements, working closely with clients, and supporting the development of junior team members. This position provides strong exposure to a varied business environment and clear opportunities for career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead, and deliver audit assignments from inception through to completion
  • Supervise on-site audit teams and provide guidance to junior staff
  • Prepare and review audit working papers and financial statements
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, developing strong and lasting relationships
  • Identify audit and accounting issues and recommend practical solutions
  • Support the training and development of trainees and semi-senior colleagues

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist)
  • Proven experience in audit within an accountancy practice
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
  • Experience leading audits and managing client relationships
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
