A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a growing and fast paced business based in Thirsk. This is a varied Purchasing Administrator role where you will play a key part in supporting the smooth running of day to day operations. You will be joining a supportive team within a company that continues to expand and invest in its people.

This role would suit someone who is organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Raising purchase orders and sending them to suppliers

  • Ordering tools and materials to meet operational requirements

  • Communicating with suppliers regarding orders, pricing, and delivery updates

  • Tracking orders and chasing any delayed or outstanding deliveries

  • Updating and maintaining accurate supplier information

  • Supporting stock control and inventory processes

  • Receiving deliveries and logging goods on arrival

  • Handling incoming calls and responding to emails

  • General administrative support to ensure smooth day to day operations

  • Assisting with basic purchase order and delivery checks when required

About you

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal

  • Comfortable using systems, databases, and Microsoft Excel

  • Able to manage workload effectively and work to deadlines

  • Proactive, flexible, and keen to support a growing team
