Our client is a well established, family owned business supplying a wide range of agricultural machinery to customers across the region. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a capable and well organised Administrative Assistant to support the smooth running of their office. This role will report directly to the Office Manager and will play a key part in the day to day operations of the business.
Key responsibilities
· Welcoming visitors to the office and offering refreshments as required
· Acting as the first point of contact by answering incoming telephone calls
· Handling incoming and outgoing post efficiently
· Data entry and general support to the wider administration team
· Maintaining and organising both paper based and digital filing systems
· Carrying out a variety of general office and administrative duties
· Supporting with ad hoc tasks as required
The suitable candidate will have
· Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional manner
· Previous experience within the agricultural industry would be advantageous, although this is not essential as full training and support will be provided
· The ability to liaise confidently with customers, colleagues and suppliers
· The ability to work independently using your own initiative, whilst also working well as part of a team
· Good computer literacy
· A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail
· The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
