I'm working with a reputable firm of accountants based in Middlesbrough, who are looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to their growing team.
You will have good technical competence including solid accounts experience gained in Practice (minimum 3 years’ experience). Must have first class communication skills and be capable of liaising and forming relationships with clients. Accuracy, deadline focussed and the ability to work on their own initiative is crucial. Highly IT literate including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft word and Sage.
Qualifications aren't a necessity and they are happy to meet people 'qualified by experience'.
You will be responsible for mentoring and managing two junior members of staff and reviewing their work.
Producing accounts for clients (Limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, LLLPs, Charities and groups) submitting accounts directly to HMRC & Companies house without the need for partner approval.
Be a point of contact for the client and ensure first class client service provided at all times
Ensuring that jobs are completed on time and within budget.
Presenting clients with a complete set of accounts with minimal queries
Keep technically up to date to be aware of developments concerning client affairs and to identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients.
Any other task as reasonably required to ensure the smooth running of the job and the department
They are offering a generous salary, a 38 hour working week including paid lunch breaks and a 3pm finish on a Friday.
