The Role
Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accounts and business services assignments are delivered to a consistently high standard.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive support and building long-term professional relationships.
Review accounts preparation work and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Plan assignments, allocate work effectively and monitor progress to ensure budgets and deadlines are achieved.
Support and mentor Business Services staff, helping to develop their technical knowledge and professional skills.
Work closely with senior leadership to manage workflow and ensure excellent client service.
Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and contribute to the continued development of the department.
Assist with business development by identifying opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and support the growth of the practice.
Ensure work is completed in accordance with current accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
About You
ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified.
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice in a Business Services or Accounts role.
Experience managing a portfolio of clients and overseeing multiple assignments.
Strong leadership skills with experience supporting and developing junior team members.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Commercially aware with a strong focus on delivering an exceptional client experience.
Confident communicator with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
Proactive, solutions-focused and committed to maintaining high professional standards.
A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
