Overview
Our client; a successful firm of Chartered Accountants is actively seeking an Accounts Semi Senior Accountant to join their Barnsley office in a role that will utilise their knowledge and skills to deliver a first-class service to provide accounts support to varied an impressive client base.
Duties
•Client bookkeeping
•Assisting with the management of a portfolio of clients
•Preparation of basic company financial statements
•Preparation of interim management accounts
•Preparation of personal tax returns
•Preparation of partnership accounts and returns
•Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
•Potential to attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
•Assisting with the training of apprentices
•Company Secretarial Duties (desirable)
•Preparation of P11Ds (desirable)
•Payroll experience (desirable)
Skills & Experience
•Minimum 2-3 years experience working in an accountancy practice
•Experience with Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, Iris, Sage Business Cloud is an advantage
•Strong attention to detail
•Excellent time management skills
Qualifications
•Ideally studying towards AAT or have completed a relevant university degree
•Studying towards ACA/ACCA is also welcomed
