Overview
Our client; a successful firm of Chartered Accountants is actively seeking an Accounts Semi Senior Accountant to join their Barnsley office in a role that will utilise their knowledge and skills to deliver a first-class service to provide accounts support to varied an impressive client base.
Duties
• Client bookkeeping
• Assisting with the management of a portfolio of clients
• Preparation of basic company financial statements
• Preparation of interim management accounts
• Preparation of personal tax returns
• Preparation of partnership accounts and returns
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
• Potential to attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
• Assisting with the training of apprentices
• Company Secretarial Duties (desirable)
• Preparation of P11Ds (desirable)
• Payroll experience (desirable)
Skills & Experience
• Minimum 2-3 years experience working in an accountancy practice
• Experience with Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, Iris, Sage Business Cloud is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
Qualifications
• Ideally studying towards AAT or have completed a relevant university degree
• Studying towards ACA/ACCA is also welcomed
