An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a diverse and fast-paced group of trading companies operating across multiple sectors. Based in Guisborough, this role offers flexibility in hours (full or part-time) and the chance to work in a dynamic finance team supporting multiple business entities.
Key Responsibilities:
Registering and matching purchase invoices in Sage
Resolving invoice queries efficiently
Entering payments into the company banking system
Performing monthly purchase statement reconciliations
Sending payment remittances to suppliers
Setting up new supplier and customer accounts in Sage
Maintaining organised and up-to-date filing systems
Processing weekly and monthly payrolls (PAYE and CIS subcontractors)
Calculating wages, deductions, and statutory payments
Submitting Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC
Managing pension contributions and auto-enrolment
Reconciling credit cards and overseeing the accounts inbox
Collating monthly payment runs and processing supplier payments
Conducting regular bank reconciliations
Supporting the Financial Lead with ad hoc duties as required
What We’re Looking For:
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Prior experience using
Sage Accounts and Excel is highly desirable
Payroll experience including CIS is an advantage
