A leading construction business in the Northallerton area is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to progress in their finance career. The successful candidate will gain study support for AAT if required/ wanted.
Main duties:
· Processing supplier invoices
· Credit control duties
· Maintaining and reconciliation of the Cash Book and the Bank
· Processing supplier payments and monthly statements
· Contributing to the process of the weekly payroll, auto enrolment and labour only payments
· Supporting the Accounts Manager in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and other Management reports
· The processing of sub-contractor applications, invoices and payments and monthly sub-contractors statement reconciliation
· Tax status verification of sub-contractors
· The processing and creation of sales invoices and posting customer receipts
· Dealing with Stakeholder queries
· Maintaining filing systems and handling incoming and outgoing mail
· Responding to ad-hoc queries
· Producing ad-hoc reports for other departments
