Accounts & Audit Senior
Location: Leeds / Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000-£45,000
An established and growing accountancy practice is looking for an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join its team, with excellent long-term progression opportunities.
The Role
You’ll manage your own portfolio of predominantly privately owned clients, acting as a key point of contact and providing a broad range of accounts and tax services.
Key responsibilities include:
•Preparing statutory accounts and tax computations for companies, partnerships, LLPs and sole traders
•Preparing and submitting VAT returns
•Producing management accounts
•Dealing with HMRC and Companies House
•Building and maintaining strong client relationships
•Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
•Assisting with client onboarding and new business
•Providing proactive commercial and accounting advice
About You
•ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE with strong practice experience
•Proven experience managing your own client portfolio
•Strong technical accounts preparation and tax knowledge
•Excellent client service and communication skills
•Highly organised with strong attention to detail
•Commercially minded with a proactive approach
•Confident using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar accounting software
•Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
•Audit experience is desirable but not essential
