Tig and Mig Welders required, Leeming, £12-£13.50/hr
A Leeming based business is recruiting for 2 Tig and Mig Welders to work at their site on a permanent full time basis.
One welder position you should be skilled in MIG/TIG, all stainless steel from 1-10mm (but mostly up to 5mm).. You would initially start on vessel welding, with the main role to fit the same large ring structures repeatedly to the vessels.
You will then roll the vessels and weld other parts to the barrels, including some TIG purged hygienic pipework , training can be provide
The other welder position you should also be proficient in MIG/TIG of stainless as above, however this position you will have more emphasis on the ability to weld hygienic pipe. You would also mainly carry out further assembly of the vessels, adding the remainder of the structural parts including the associated pipework.
For both positions, you would need to be able to read engineering drawings, but also to fabricate without a drawing working to verbal information from the design team.
You will also need to be adaptable and keen to learn different aspects of vessel fabrication along with other welding duties as they arise. You will be responsible for your own prep and some grinding
Previous codings would be advantageous, as would experience using overhead cranes, large rotating positioners and pipe benders.
To be considered you should have experience of Tig and Mig Welding. Weld Coding experience would be highly desirable. Training will be provided
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7-5pm, Friday 7-2pm (45hrs/week)
Rate: £12-£13.50/hr to be reviewed at 12 weeks. Overtime is paid at 1.3x
