What is one thing people don’t know about you?

I was knocked over by a car when I was 8 years old – the car came off worse than me but I did spend a few days in hospital and got time off school! The guy who had been driving bought me a flageolet flute which I learnt to play.

On a more exciting note I was an extra in Calendar Girls when it was filmed back in  2002.

How do you spend your perfect Sunday?

I like a lie in on a Sunday – it’s the only chance I get. I normally do a gym session then come home,  read the papers and we always have a Sunday Roast.

If you weren’t a recruitment consultant what would you be?

I always wanted to go into teaching but after I left University my friend worked in recruitment and thought I would make a good consultant. She introduced me to one of the Directors at Hays and before I knew it that was it. I have never looked back though and I love this job.

What’s your favorite place to eat around here?

There are so many to choose from In Harrogate but the best meal I have ever had though was at Michael O’Hare’s restaurant in Leeds which is called The Man Behind the Curtain.

My little Luna! She would be the best office dog EVER!

How would you spend your perfect Sunday?

So it would start off with a long walk with the pooch (Luna’s idea of a nightmare)! Then a little bit of cleaning (I LOVE cleaning), then I would make a roast dinner (bold statement but I make the best roast ever), finished by relaxing with a glass of wine.

Taking the leap from Adam to Eve on the top of Tryfan, was quite daunting and with a crowd watching on, there was no last minute bottling out.
