My client, a specialist mail order company based in Ripon, is looking to recruit and Office Administrator to join their team.

You will be working in a busy environment with direct customer contact by telephone and e-mail, in areas relating to order processing, pricing and stock control. Keyboard skills are necessary and a knowledge of Sage Line 50 accounting software is preferable although not essential as training will be provided.

The position would suit a confident individual, able to work with and be a part of a busy team. Communication skills directly with other team members and customers are a necessity.

The successful applicant will be able to:-

  • Process customer orders received via post, e-mail, website and over the phone
  • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
  • Manage enquiry phone calls and correspondence from customers and suppliers (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
  • Pick orders for dispatch through the warehouse
  • Create and update records and databases
  • Track stocks of goods and supplied and place orders when necessary from suppliers
  • Assist colleagues whenever necessary
  • Be upbeat and enthusiastic
