Our established client offering a friendly working environment as part of a small but busy team, is recruiting for a part-time Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk to join its offices in Darlington.

To be considered for this role you will have previous bookkeeping and payroll experience, an enthusiastic attitude to work and good communication skills.


  • Bookkeeping and entering of accounting information onto Sage
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Using spreadsheets
  • Processing client payroll
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with queries
  • Filing, scanning etc and all other admin related duties as required

Person specification:

  • Strong IT skills including use of Microsoft office packages and Sage
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative, and to tight deadlines
  • Good organisational skills
