Accounts Assistant, Harrogate (16299)

My client, an award winning and expanding Harrogate based business, are currently recruiting a full time Accounts Assistant to work as part of an existing team of 3.

Duties will include:

  • Credit Control
  • Creating new customer accounts for 2 companies
  • Inputting data to the new customer spreadsheet
  • Taking credit/debit card payments
  • Chasing retention payments
  • Sending credit acceptance/increase/decrease letters
  • Dealing with invoice/credit queries
  • Monitoring RMA’s - chasing logistics for updates
  • Raising Credit notes from RMA’s
  • Posting sales invoices
  • Sending chase letters (weekly)
  • Sending statements (monthly)
  • Entering Purchase invoices
  • Matching credit card receipts and fuel receipts to statements
  • Purchase ledger admin

The successful candidate will be focussed, methodical and have a keen eye for detail. You should have an excellent telephone manner and be comfortable communicating with people at all levels. You will be a problem solver who has the ability to cope and work well under pressure, whether it be as part of a team or individually.

You must have a good level of maths understanding and will have at least 2 years experience of working in a similar accounts based role. Experience of using Sage and Excel is a must.

Salary up to £20k depending on experience.
