Description

The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive support to both the Payroll and Accounts function in an accurate and timely manner. Within the role, you will:

  • Pay supplier invoices within agreed time frames and with the approval of the MD
  • Support the payroll function in the administration of weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Issue delivery notes and invoices to customers
  • Consistently monitor and review debt levels ensuring outstanding debts are chased
  • Deal with Sales and Purchase Ledger enquiries in a timely manner
  • Set up new clients and suppliers on the relevant systems
  • Conduct a weekly reconciliation of bank accounts and report any anomalies
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
  • Reconcile customer queries in relation to invoices issued or received
  • Respond to and resolve customer, client and employee enquiries
  • Manage and maintain an accurate and logical filing system
  • Keep the company up to date with new legislation that relates to VAT, accounts and payroll

Skills required

  • You will work with confidential information and must be able to work in a discreet and professional manner
  • You must possess a good working knowledge of Sage 50
  • You must be honest, reliable and trustworthy
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to communicate with individuals at all levels
  • Ability to work to prioritise and work to strict deadlines without compromising accuracy
  • IT literate and competent in Microsoft packages
  • Experience within an accounts and/or payroll environment is essential
  • You must take a flexible approach to work and be prepared to work additional hours during busy periods.

Working hours are 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. Free parking available on site.
