We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join a busy agricultural business based in Helmsley.
The successful candidate will be required to work from their office in Helmsley, as well as travelling to clients addresses on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices, verifying transactions, and reconciling statements
Utilise accounting software (Farmplan, Quickbooks, Xero & Landmark) to input and track financial data
Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing procedures
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
Assist with payroll processing
Skills:
Be competent in accounting software such as Farmplan, Quickbooks, Xero & Landmark
Ensure that records of all financial transactions, payments to suppliers, expenses, bank reconciliations and cash payments/receipts are accurately inputted and properly maintained in a timely manner to meet internal and external audit requirements
Requirements:
Relevant understanding of agriculture and minimum 1 years’ experience working in the industry
Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel
Have Relevant financial qualifications
Previous experience of Accounts systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
This is an excellent position for the right candidate. There is an option of working from home minimum one day a week, once training/probation has been completed.
